TTIL(The Things that I Love)
Digital network services are growing rapidly as fast as development speed of internet & mobile devices. As a result, My Space, Facebook and Delicious became very popular. People especially those who often spend time on the internet want to share values and interests, and gather information about them. Through this activity, they build networks, makes online communities, so range of the network is getting expanded. However, true values such as memories and nostalgia in our real life are ebbing away. Consequently, I would like to match these values such as precious memories and nostalgia with social network services such as My Space and Facebook. A drawer is a metaphor of this interactive space. ‘The Things that I Love’ (TTIL) is a drawer which contains your memorable things. Those things will be changed into a sort of tangible and tactile objects and delivered back to you someday. For example, it might be the similar feeling of when you found an old photo by chance. You would be able to realize that what things are valuable in your life through this happening.
* This project was inspired by ‘A Chest of Drawers’, one of droog’s collections, created by Tejo Remy.
