frgDfrg=3be3rwb is an arise project from this book Metaphors of Memory: A History of Ideas about the Mind by Douwe Draaisma. Human regulates the present and the past by memories and they recognize themselves in this happening. In other words, I think a community’s identity is same as accumulated memories’ allegory. In this context, I started this project which is about the relationship between a person or a community’s visual identity and memories. People today uses computer as a support tool for memory. A person’s memory can be the same as the recorded data of his(her) computer. So I got an idea from the visual of hard disk’s defragmentation screen and created the visual identity of one person’s memory from it. This is made up of three steps. First is fragmented memory, second is defragmenting memory, third is overall memory which is combination result of the first and the second.
