In the year 2008, at this point of time, 2008 S/S is the present and 2007 F/W is the past.
In the social trend, people treat used or past things less important, and those are simply buried. And then people's interest moves to the next thing which is the present.
'Renewing the past' is the theme of this project.
Using my ImageFonts which is representing last year (past) and this year's (present) fashion trend, I designed two books, one for the past and one for the present.
For the past book, I printed contents on printed papers. That means one more layer over a layer and one more history over a history. Final book design shows how old and used materials turn to be nice. This is a combination of our past history.
For the present book, I printed on the finest white paper which means bright, clear and vivid. And contents are showed clearly and straight forward what they are now.
