Plasticity and Space (2)

594 x 840mm / Offset Print on Tracing Paper / Self-Initiated Poster

I wanted to express several spaces and diversity in those spaces in one poster. When I started thinking about this concept, I thought of the lampshade which was made of translucent plastic material, and it was created by me a few years ago. It is an object with many pieces connected together, and the translucent material blocks half of lights, so there comes an indistinct boundary between the space inside and the outside. And I decided to express this effect into a 2-dimensional poster.

There are same sized six circles in the poster. In other words, six layers.
I calculated exactly the location of circles, so when the poster is folded into three times, six circles get together into one and overlap. Space in the circles is consists of basic elements, dots and lines. Those elements are clear to be used for the effect of overlapping.
Finally I got so many variations with one sheet of the poster, I would like to try more experimental approaches in those six circles next time.
